Sae Pong Lai Waterfall
A multi-tier waterfall deep in Attapeu's forest, reached only by a short trek from where the road ends. Still largely unknown to travelers — on a clear day, mist off the falls catches the light into a faint rainbow.

Sae Pong Lai cascades down layered volcanic rock into a wide, clear pool — one of the few waterfalls in southern Laos that most maps still leave off entirely. There's no paved path or ticket booth here: you park where the road ends and walk the rest on foot, through forest that opens suddenly onto the falls. No crowds, no filters — just water, stone, and on a good day, a rainbow rising out of the spray. It's the kind of place Alan Coffee & Travel exists to show you: real, unpolished, and worth the walk in.
